Succulent groundcover with trailing stems, triangular green leaves and showy, cerise-purple flowers. Excellent plant for harsh coastal situations. Well drained, dry coastal and sandy sites in full sun. Spreads 1-2m.


Hibbertia empetrifolia     Scrambling Guinea Flower

Sprawling groundcover or low shrub with long, wiry stems, dark green leaves and masses of very showy, bright yellow flowers in spring. 0.3-0.6mx1-2m. Attractive when grown through other shrubs. Well drained to moist, sunny to lightly shaded sites.

Kennedia prostrata         Running Postman

Groundcover with thin trailing stems, rounded clover-like leaves and bright scarlet pea flowers. Dry, well drained and coastal sites. Spreads 1-1.5m.
Viola hederacea

Viola hederacea     Native Violet

Dense spreading groundcover with trailing stems, rounded leaves and purple and white flowers. Prefers a moist, lightly shaded position.
